Here are some FAQ'S.
HOW LONG DO SESSIONS LAST?
Each session lasts for 50 mins and takes place ideally at the same time every week. However I realise that this is not always possible or needed and there is room for flexibility.
HOW MANY SESSIONS CAN I HAVE?
This depends on you and what you bring.
Some people choose to go to counselling to work on a specific issue and find that 6-8 sessions are enough. Others might want to do more in depth exploration and want to take longer. It might be that just a couple of sessions are enough to get you back on track. We can discuss this together when we first meet.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
If for some reason you need to cancel then I would kindly ask that you give me 24hrs notice otherwise full payment is required. However I understand that sometimes emergencies occur and this can be open to discussion.
ARE SESSIONS CONFIDENTIAL?
As a professional counsellor and registered member of The National Counselling Society I will provide you with a safe confidential space to talk. I will not break confidentiality unless I feel that there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or to others and in extremely rare cases where I a m required to do so by law. In all cases this will be discussed with you first. We can discuss confidentiality in more depth in our initial session.
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
You can email me or use the contact form below. I aim to get back to you within 48 hrs. Please check your junk box for correspondence also. You can also phone me within working hours and if I'm not available you can leave a message. I can arrange a free no obligation 20 mins phone consultation to ask any questions and talk through your aims and goals for therapy.
HOW DO I PAY?
Payment can be made by BACS before the session or by cash on the day of the session if working face to face. Payment details will be sent out by email prior to your initial appointment.
WHEN CAN I SEE YOU?
I can offer appointments on weekdays 9am to 5pm.
I do have a few evening slots and this can be discussed with you.
