About me and my approach.

I am an experienced warm compassionate therapist accredited with The National counselling Society for Psychotherapists and counsellors.
I am passionate and committed to providing support and helping people like you to overcome barriers and to go on and lead the life you want to live.

I am not here to give you advice or tell you what I think you should do. My role is to listen to you and support you by offering a warm, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship in which you can explore what's going on for you.

By owning and naming difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviour together we can explore together where they originated, how they impact your life and work together to find a way to use this new understanding to take back control of your life in a positive way.
I am an integrative counsellor which means that I tailor the therapy to suit you as I am able to draw on many different theories in counselling to best support you. I always strive to keep learning anything new when it comes to supporting clients with their mental health.
My training as a life coach and NLP (Neuro linguistic programming) practitioner enables me to work with you to discover not only what has been holding you back but to look to the future, set goals and give you tools and techniques to improve your life.

Together we can explore the obstacles that are holding you back from being the person you want to be, improve your self-esteem and self-worth and have more positive comfortable relationships with others but importantly yourself.

Before embarking on my journey as a therapist, most of my life has been spent working in education, empowering young people to navigate their challenges. My experience includes working with youth in care who faced school exclusions, as well as supporting students with learning difficulties and behavioural issues.
I strongly believe that every individual is unique and deserves to be recognized and supported in overcoming obstacles to reach their fullest potential.
My personal journey into counselling began after I encountered significant challenges, which led me to understand the profound impact of having a safe space to discuss and process my experiences. My life journey not only provides me with a greater understanding of the impact of mental health struggles and low self-esteem but also enables me to have the empathy and compassion for those going through it. You are not alone.
In addition to my private practice, I actively volunteer with a local mental health charity, where I contribute to providing essential support to our community.

"We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with
real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening of
this very special kind is one of the most potent forces
of change I know"
